All candidates from the Australian Greens have been allocated a green light after our rigorous assessment process. The party advocates for an immediate freeze on all new coal, oil and gas projects. They have a comprehensive and fully-costed climate plan which aims for a 100% transition to renewable energy. The plan takes into consideration the economic and social impact of climate change and the measures required to prevent further global warming.

In this election the Greens represent a real opportunity to put our community and our environment ahead of the interests of big business and create a government with transparency, accountability, and a long-term vision.
We can then take meaningful action to address the cost of living crisis and relieve the pressure on our healthcare system. Our region urgently needs a response to the lack of affordable and available housing. The Greens will build more affordable homes, end out-of-control rent rises, and ban political donations from property developers.
The Greens will also push the government further and faster to tackle climate change to create long-term solutions that preserve the beautiful high country and river systems that are iconic features of our region.
