Jannah Fahiz is the Animal Justice candidate for Hurtle Vale.

Jannah Fahiz has always had a passion for helping other people and caring for animals. Jannah is originally from the ACT, but 8 years ago, she decided to join her some of her family members in Adelaide and call it home. She spent her time in Canberra actively campaigning a better life for the local wildlife; particularly focused on the beloved Eastern Grey Kangaroos. During this time, she volunteered for 5 years on the Animal Justice Party committee as Secretary then Convener and ran in the ACT election receiving the highest votes in the party. She hopes to use her experience in politics to better the lives of those living in Adelaide.

Jannah has a background in event management and works in the music industry supporting artists and a lively local music scene. Jannah is an establishing journalist; writing articles for music magazines promoting up and coming musicians. She herself is a singer/songwriter and entertainer and is working on her debut EP. Alongside this, Jannah is an active member in the video games community; supporting our local game developers and creatives through events and social media.

Jannah believes it is becoming more and more urgent that we act in kinder ways to the Earth and all beings who live upon it. Jannah wishes to see a community who chooses compassion over greed; leading the way with kindness. In this election, she will be campaigning for Veticare, greater protections for South Australia’s natural environment and protecting our natural icons.

Hi, I’m Tammy Scott

I’m honoured to be your Greens candidate for Hurtle Vale.  I’m running because our community deserves a strong, independent voice who will stand up for everyday people, challenge the major parties, and push for real action on the issues locals care about

I’ve lived in the Onkaparinga area for more than 20 years and raised my family here. Labor has held this seat for decades, yet many locals still feel unheard as costs rise and essential services struggle to keep up. Hurtle Vale deserves representation that truly listens and fights for better outcomes.

I’m a teacher, small business owner, and parent of three children with disabilities. I’ve spent years navigating Centrelink, the NDIS, hospitals and the education system while advocating for my children and for the families I support through my work. Those experiences have given me a deep understanding of how government decisions affect everyday lives.

I’m running because we need a fairer system — where people can access quality healthcare and education, afford the basics of life, and live in a healthy environment. As a member of The Greens I am fighting for strong public services, climate action, and a society where people come before corporate interests.

This moment demands strong climate action.

If you’re worried about the climate crisis, you’re not alone.

Millions of us are worried about rising power bills, environmental destruction and protecting our families from extreme weather.

Labor has approved over 25 more coal and gas projects while in office, while the Liberals’ commitment to fossil fuels remains stronger than ever.

Both take millions in donations from coal and gas corporations to fund their election campaigns. They’re working for their donors, not for people, our planet or the future.

With the Greens in the balance of power in the Senate, this parliament has a real opportunity to deliver strong climate action.

Our plan for ambitious climate action

Our wins on climate and clean energy have shown what’s possible. Now it’s time to push further and lead the world in the move away from coal and gas.

  1. Stop new coal and gas.
  2. Expand publicly-owned renewable energy.
  3. End the billions in handouts to coal, oil and gas corporations.
  4. End native forest logging.
  5. Lower power bills by transitioning to more reliable, clean energy.
  6. Subsidise solar & batteries for homes & businesses.
  7. End fossil fuel subsidies for all industries except agriculture.
  8. Save koalas and our wildlife from extinction.
  9. Create thousands of jobs during the transition.
  10. Provide grants and low-interest loans to help households and small businesses electrify, install solar batteries, and cut emissions and energy bills.
