Rebecca White (Greens)
I believe positive change is possible. Queensland is a lucky state. Together, we can make sure everyone has access to the things they need to live a good life.
I’ve lived and worked in Greenslopes for over 20 years, raising my three awesome kids. I’m a financial educator, helping startups and women in business improve their financial literacy and a former small business owner.
Much of my volunteer work has focused on helping community groups and school P&Cs raise critical funds to support kids in need. After 15 years of service on our local state school’s P&C, they made me a life member. In these roles, I’ve spent time with hundreds of local families, heard their concerns, and developed a keen understanding of the lack of support everyday people face in the healthcare and education systems.
Right now, it’s clear people are losing faith in a political system focused on putting the interests of a few big corporations and property investors ahead of the rest of us.
But there’s hope.
When we harness the collective power of everyday people, we can fundamentally transform politics. We can have high quality and genuinely free education and healthcare. We can invest in crucialpublic infrastructure like public transport, renewable energy, and affordable housing.
We can achieve all of this if we just make the big corporations and property investors pay their fair share.
I’m fighting to win Greenslopes so that together, we can transform Queensland politics and deliver a better life for everyday Queenslanders. Will you help me?
