Michelle is an Outstanding Green Light Candidate

Michelle Jensz is proud to be running as your candidate for the Mount Ommaney electorate where she has lived for 23 years in the upcoming QLD State Election.

Michelle is passionate about the wildlife that reside in her area and the preservation of the environment and is an extremely active companion animal volunteer and works tirelessly for a number of rescue organisations.

Michelle has also been active in tree planting and cleaning up of waterways in her area which again demonstrates her passion and support for nature and its inhabitants including platypuses, kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and bird life. With thanks to community groups, who organise such activities, Michelle is happy to say that there is evidence that these animals and birds are present and beginning to flourish in their natural environment.

Chris Richardson (Greens)

I’m a teacher aide and tutor, born and raised in Oxley. I love living here, even when it floods, but I couldn’t afford to live here without my parents. For many people, the communities we grew up in are becoming unaffordable. Rent and mortgages are too expensive, houses cost a fortune and families are struggling to put food on the table because groceries cost too much.

I’m sick of watching the kids I support struggle to concentrate because they haven’t eaten all day, or they don’t have what they need to learn in a language they don’t speak at home, or the school environment is a sensory nightmare. Our schools aren’t properly funded, and as a result, our youth are struggling and failing to reach their full potential. This shouldn’t be happening in a wealthy country like ours.

But there is hope – we can work together to make a real difference and help our community thrive.

The Greens will fully fund our public schools and make them truly free. We’ll fund a season per year of free sport for all kids, 200 bulk billing GP clinics, and free and frequent public transport for all Queenslanders. And we’ll fund it by making the big corporations pay their fair share.

We don’t have to let big corporations rip us off and run our state like the major parties do. We don’t take corporate donations like Labor and the LNP, so we work for you – not vested interests.

Change starts with us. Vote 1 Greens.
