Outstanding Green Light Candidates

Robyn Parnell is the Animal Justice candidate for Stuart.
Robyn Parnell is a dedicated advocate for South Australia’s native wildlife and a proud Mid North resident. Born and raised in Port Pirie, Robyn has lived in Warnertown with her husband Rob since 2016, restoring and revegetating their 11-acre property through persistent drought.
As founder of the SA Kangaroo Alliance, Robyn authored The Kangaroo Con, using over 15 years of government wildlife data to challenge policies that favour commercial interests over animal welfare, ecological health, and rural sustainability. She has delivered expert evidence and submissions to Parliamentary Committees, pushing for evidence-based kangaroo conservation.
A prolific children’s author, Robyn also writes on environmental themes and performs as a singer-songwriter with her husband. Her screenplays celebrate South Australia’s Mid North, reflecting her passion for strengthening regional culture and economies. As a wildlife photographer in the Flinders Ranges, she has documented the harsh impacts of climate change on fragile ecosystems.
Currently, Robyn is establishing a stray cat sanctuary to meet urgent animal welfare needs in remote communities.
As the Animal Justice Party candidate for Stuart, Robyn will fight for practical, compassionate policies: protecting native wildlife from exploitation, supporting drought-affected rural families, addressing climate impacts on our unique landscapes, and ending animal cruelty. She brings a strong voice for the vast Stuart electorate, ensuring decisions prioritise animals, people, and the planet.
Green Light Candidates

Hi, I’m Poppy Pilmore
I’m proud to be your Greens candidate for Stuart.
This moment demands strong climate action.
If you’re worried about the climate crisis, you’re not alone.
Millions of us are worried about rising power bills, environmental destruction and protecting our families from extreme weather.
Labor has approved over 25 more coal and gas projects while in office, while the Liberals’ commitment to fossil fuels remains stronger than ever.
Both take millions in donations from coal and gas corporations to fund their election campaigns. They’re working for their donors, not for people, our planet or the future.
With the Greens in the balance of power in the Senate, this parliament has a real opportunity to deliver strong climate action.
Our plan for ambitious climate action
Our wins on climate and clean energy have shown what’s possible. Now it’s time to push further and lead the world in the move away from coal and gas.
- Stop new coal and gas.
- Expand publicly-owned renewable energy.
- End the billions in handouts to coal, oil and gas corporations.
- End native forest logging.
- Lower power bills by transitioning to more reliable, clean energy.
- Subsidise solar & batteries for homes & businesses.
- End fossil fuel subsidies for all industries except agriculture.
- Save koalas and our wildlife from extinction.
- Create thousands of jobs during the transition.
- Provide grants and low-interest loans to help households and small businesses electrify, install solar batteries, and cut emissions and energy bills.
