I grew up in Curtin and have lived here most of my life. I’m frustrated with our political leadership and I know we can do much better. Curtin contains some of Perth’s most engaged and informed communities, but our government has taken us for granted. If you elect me to be your independent voice in Canberra, I will take that responsibility seriously and work for our communities every day.
We can do much better on climate action and integrity in Federal politics. Decarbonisation will offer significant opportunities in renewables and failure to act now will cost us. We need strong targets, certainty and aligned incentives to ensure that we are well-placed to catch that wave. This isn’t ideology. It is sound economic management.
We should be proud of our democracy and how it works. This means we need to change how Canberra operates. I want to be proud of the role Curtin is playing in taking a long term view.
I genuinely want to represent my community
There is a real opportunity in this election for the sensible centre to take a stand and be heard. You can make Curtin count, by joining me.
My employment experience is diverse – working as a lawyer and a management consultant, and later in commercial and social impact roles for a large corporation. More recently I have managed strategy and innovation in the non-profit sector and I have served on a range of boards.
I live in West Leederville with kids at three different schools in the Curtin electorate. This is where my family, friends and colleagues live. I have deep roots within Curtin, dating back to 1830. Chances are, you know someone who knows me.
I grew up in a family where service to community is highly valued, through politics, law, education and business. Over the last 10 years, I have increasingly become frustrated by Australia’s inability to make good long term decisions about our future.
