HORSFALL, Leah

Animal Justice Party

Running
Last assessment: 2022-04-24 04:31:30

This is a single issue party. Some single issue parties are assessed as orange because they run the risk putting their single issue ahead of climate for pragmatic reasons.

Leah is a member of the new AJP Board of Directors. A qualified secondary teacher, she has taught extensively in Australia, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Pacific Region. Her wide international work experience led her to a second career in international development, with a focus on education and social justice.

In 2015, she was a foundation member of the Animal Justice Party in the ACT, where she served on the local committee and worked on the election groups for territory and federal election campaigns. Leah volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary and is currently involved with community groups which lobby for local wildlife protection. Recently she has been actively involved with the Save the Heritage Kangas campaign in Chirnside Park. She also volunteers as a member of the School Council at her son’s school and is committed to community actions and campaigns to improve the lives of all species.

Leah will run as the AJP candidate in the seat of Wills, and is personally committed to ending animal testing, intensive farming and the live export of all animals.
