The team at Vote Climate One is constantly assessing the climate credentials of parties and independent candidates. In Queensland the Labor Party has been ranked orange ahead of the Liberal National Party and a whole group of other Red Light parties.

Don’t underestimate the power of your vote in the few electorates in which progressive candidates are standing. Our Traffic Light Voting System is biased towards helping Queenslanders elect a minority government forced to work with solidly-progressive cross-bench representitives.

Now the ballot draw has been finalised we are scrambling to finalise our voting guides to be ready for early voting on Monday October 14th.

We will list Green Light and Outstanding Green Light Candidates on the electorate pages links listed in the chart above. Check out the credentials of these candidates. There are now live links for 93 electorates. It is unfortunate that in some electorates voters have no Green Light candidates from which to choose.

Any candidate or party which will be prepared to formally support the 3Rs and the Climate Rescue Accord are automatically ranked as outstanding Green Light candidates in our voting advice.

Prepolling in the Queensland election will start on Monday October 14th.

We are assessing all political parties and independent candidates. Candidates who are standing under a party banner are assessed with their party ranking. Please contact us if you have information which will help us with the assessment process. Phone Rob on 0427580803.

Any candidate who is prepared to formally support the 3Rs and the Climate Rescue Accord is automatically ranked as an outstanding Green Light candidate in our voting advice.
