Hey! I’m Will.
I’m a student and a life-long resident of Redcliffe. I’m proud to call Moreton Bay and the division of Petrie my home because of its hard-working people, beautiful natural environment, and commitment to standing up for everyday people.
But as I see it, things are turning in the other direction for many people in our local area. Public health, education, and our natural environment are in crisis, while the billionaires in this country are making sky-high profits at the expense of everyone else.
We need to do a lot of work to make the federal government represent ordinary people. I think the start for that is banning corporate donations from our political system and enacting a federal anti-corruption watchdog to keep the powerful accountable and honest.
Many young people like myself are concerned about the worsening housing affordability. That’s why I am fighting for more and better quality public housing right across Australia.
I’m also proud to be standing for universal and fee-free universities and TAFE, bringing dental and mental healthcare into Medicare and investing in publicly-owned green manufacturing.
Voting Green this election is the best way to hold the two major parties accountable and end their ride of working for the big oil, gas and coal lobbies instead of for the people.
That’s why I’m asking you to join us in fighting for a future that works for all of us, not just a few.
