Gary holds qualifications as a plumber and enrolled nurse, and is the holder of a Certificate IV in Disability. He is currently employed full time in disability services. He has also worked as a volunteer supporting the men’s community through Good Better Best Men.

He is a past member of the LCSA Party Management Committee and has held the positions of Party Agent and Treasurer.

Gary is also a prescribed medicinal cannabis patient and has found the treatment very helpful in managing his condition. He wants to see changes to the cannabis laws, especially the unfair drug driving laws that impose heavy penalties when there is no danger to the public from impairment.

Hi, I’m Sean Weatherly

I’m running because South Australia needs an effective opposition in parliament, and we won’t receive that from the current Liberal party especially when it comes to the environment.

As a resident of Seaford Heights, I am passionate about our coastlines and concerned about the ongoing health problems associated with the Algal Bloom.

As a renter, I have seen my rent increase by 25% over the past 4 years. We have residents living in cars, couch surfing or suffering from homelessness.

At the last election we were promised that ramping would be fixed, and we have seen the exact opposite. We have seen patients unable to be treated promptly and in some cases lose their lives.

The cost of living continues to make life difficult for the most vulnerable in our society with many living below the poverty line.  Our community deserves better, and that is why I am running as your Greens candidate for Kaurna.

I have been operating a successful small business in the arts for the past 15 years and I am halfway through a PhD scholarship at Flinders University. I am highly motivated and have the skills to listen to my local community and stand up for them in parliament.

This moment demands strong climate action.

If you’re worried about the climate crisis, you’re not alone.

Millions of us are worried about rising power bills, environmental destruction and protecting our families from extreme weather.

Labor has approved over 25 more coal and gas projects while in office, while the Liberals’ commitment to fossil fuels remains stronger than ever.

Both take millions in donations from coal and gas corporations to fund their election campaigns. They’re working for their donors, not for people, our planet or the future.

With the Greens in the balance of power in the Senate, this parliament has a real opportunity to deliver strong climate action.

Our plan for ambitious climate action

Our wins on climate and clean energy have shown what’s possible. Now it’s time to push further and lead the world in the move away from coal and gas.

  1. Stop new coal and gas.
  2. Expand publicly-owned renewable energy.
  3. End the billions in handouts to coal, oil and gas corporations.
  4. End native forest logging.
  5. Lower power bills by transitioning to more reliable, clean energy.
  6. Subsidise solar & batteries for homes & businesses.
  7. End fossil fuel subsidies for all industries except agriculture.
  8. Save koalas and our wildlife from extinction.
  9. Create thousands of jobs during the transition.
  10. Provide grants and low-interest loans to help households and small businesses electrify, install solar batteries, and cut emissions and energy bills.
