Hi, I’m Jenn Tranter.

I’m proud to be your Greens candidate for Morialta!

Together, with people power, we can make The Greens’ vision of a fairer, greener future happen.

I have helped raise two compassionate and emotionally intelligent young women. Parenting is not for everyone, but it has made me appreciate our healthy, peaceful life in the Adelaide foothills.

I live adjacent to Morialta Conservation Park which was traditionally occupied and cared for by the Kaurna people. My family and I treasure our lifestyle of being regularly visited by wildlife, and important and plentiful birdlife.

I have worked in educational leadership and counselling including in local schools, and as a mediator and child advocate within the legal and community sectors.

I have dedicated my life to improving outcomes for others and creating productive, responsive, culturally sensitive and sustainable change.

I support strong environmental and social policies of looking after land, oceans and communities that are made up of ordinary people who know that the two major parties are letting us down.

As your Greens candidate for Morialta, preserving and maintaining our precious environment and caring for community will remain my central focus.

This moment demands strong climate action.

If you’re worried about the climate crisis, you’re not alone.

Millions of us are worried about rising power bills, environmental destruction and protecting our families from extreme weather.

Labor has approved over 25 more coal and gas projects while in office, while the Liberals’ commitment to fossil fuels remains stronger than ever.

Both take millions in donations from coal and gas corporations to fund their election campaigns. They’re working for their donors, not for people, our planet or the future.

With the Greens in the balance of power in the Senate, this parliament has a real opportunity to deliver strong climate action.

Our plan for ambitious climate action

Our wins on climate and clean energy have shown what’s possible. Now it’s time to push further and lead the world in the move away from coal and gas.

  1. Stop new coal and gas.
  2. Expand publicly-owned renewable energy.
  3. End the billions in handouts to coal, oil and gas corporations.
  4. End native forest logging.
  5. Lower power bills by transitioning to more reliable, clean energy.
  6. Subsidise solar & batteries for homes & businesses.
  7. End fossil fuel subsidies for all industries except agriculture.
  8. Save koalas and our wildlife from extinction.
  9. Create thousands of jobs during the transition.
  10. Provide grants and low-interest loans to help households and small businesses electrify, install solar batteries, and cut emissions and energy bills.
