Adam Martin (Independent)

Adam qualifies as an Outstanding Green Light Candidate
Dear Rob and Vote Climate One Team,
Thank you for reaching out and for the insightful conversation we had. I appreciate the opportunity to address your assessment questions.
1. Commitment to Real Action on Ecological and Climate Emergency
If elected to the next Federal House of Representatives, I am committed to supporting and advocating for real action on issues related to the ecological and climate emergency. This includes:
- Implementing Comprehensive Strategies: Advocating for policies that align with the Climate Rescue Accord’s 3Rs—Reduce, Remove, and Reflect—to effectively address global heating.
- Collaborative Efforts: Working alongside fellow parliamentarians, communities, and organizations to develop and implement solutions that mitigate climate change impacts and promote environmental sustainability.
2. Application of the 3Rs, Climate Rescue Accord, and Green Transition
I fully support the application of the 3Rs framework, the Climate Rescue Accord, and the principles of the Green Transition to inform, when relevant, my position and advocacy on legislation and policy. Specifically:
- Reduce: Championing initiatives aimed at achieving near-zero emissions across all sectors, including energy, transport, and agriculture, through evidence-based roadmaps and the cessation of fossil fuel expansion.
- Remove: Supporting efforts to enhance natural carbon sequestration, such as rewilding and preventing deforestation, to draw down excess greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
- Reflect: Advocating for urgent research and development into immediate cooling strategies to counteract the loss of the aerosol masking effect and actively cool the planet until other measures achieve a safe climate.
