Below is the Traffic light Voting Guide to elect seven members for the Division of Lyons in the 2025 Tasmanian election.

Angela Offord (Independent)

 I support the use of the 3Rs and the Climate Rescue Accord to underpin decisions I will potentially make in the Tasmanian parliament in relation to action on the climate emergency.”

Allan is a lifetime environmental activist. He lives in Dodges Ferry with his partner. Allan was formerly a captain with the marine conservation group Sea Shepherd and now works at the Bob Brown Foundation as their marine campaigner.

Tabatha Badger (Tasmanian Greens)

Before entering parliament, Badger was a small business owner and environmental campaigner. She has a Masters in Tourism and lives in Ellendale. She has been a campaigner to protect Tasmania’s natural environment, and has been chair of the Wilderness Society and Director of the Restore Pedder Campaign. She was the youngest member of state parliament in the 2024-25 term.

Brown is a retired general practitioner who has worked mostly in rural areas and in aboriginal health. In recent years he has been active in protecting native forests and takayna, and in advocating for the Indigenous Voice to parliament.

Joey Cavanagh (Tasmanian Greens)

A competitive speed cuber, Cavanagh placed 13th in the Tasmanian state championship in 2025 (3x3x3 cube division), just missing out on the finals with an average time of 14.2 seconds. In the same championship he was unable to successfully solve a cube blindfolded. He says he cares deeply about housing justice.

Houghton is a social work student at the University of Tasmania and a climate campaigner with the Bob Brown Foundation. He previously contested Bass at the 2021 election when he was listed as a self-employed Horticulturist/Gardener. Houghton ran in the 2024 state election for the seat of Lyons.

Hannah lives on the east coast and is a former Break O’Day Councillor, where she has also been Depuity Mayor. She was the Greens candidate for Lyons at the 2016 Federal election and ran in the 2024 state election.

Isabell Shapcott (Tasmanian Greens)

Shapcott is a museum and gallery professional in Tasmania’s north. She has worked in small-scale publishing, including as the manager of the Tasmanian Greens’ magazine and as editor of Playgroup Tasmania’s magazine. Previously contested Lyons at the 2021 Tasmanian election.
