Green Light Candidates
Phillip Pearce (Aust Democrats)

“I am a plant and machinery valuer and also have 15 years’ experience in project management with 5 years as a senior project manager.
My role gives me exposure to a vast cross section of sectors including transport, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, engineering, aviation, and more.”
Phillip was born and raised in Milperra, and with his father’s family growing up and staying in the Mortdale area. He has had a lifetime of being in and involved with the full breadth of the Banks electorate.
“I could think of no other place I wanted to raise my own children and intend to work towards ensuring that there is always a place for people to stay in or come to this great area.”
Natalie Hanna (Greens)

Hi, I’m Natalie Hanna. I’m a mum, a millennial and a volunteer. I work in the renewable energy industry and I understand the enormous benefits our community stands to gain by transitioning to a cleaner economy – cheaper energy bills, cleaner air and restoring our natural habitats.
As I watch my children grow up, I’m worried about their future unless we take urgent action on climate change. However Labor continues to open new coal and gas mines.
Frustratingly, Labor prioritises corporate profits over people in the midst of a cost of living crisis. Unlike the major parties, The Greens don’t accept corporate donations. I will always stand up for you, the people I represent.
Labor has also failed to take meaningful action during the ongoing crisis in Gaza. The Greens have been advocating for years to end the occupation of the Palestinian territories and more recently the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza
Once again, I’m stepping up. I’m going to fight for our community in Banks and I’m calling on your support for:
- Affordable Housing: make unlimited rent increases illegal and invest in public housing to ensure everyone has a safe and affordable place to live.
- Make food cheaper by banning price gouging by supermarkets.
- Climate Action: Transition to renewable energy, create green jobs, no more oil and gas, and protect natural habitats.
- First Nations Justice: Support treaty processes, land rights, and self-determination for First Nations peoples.
- Make seeing the GP free and cover dental & mental healthcare under Medicare.
- Education for Everyone: Increase funding for public schools and make higher education free.
Labor and the Liberals have failed us by siding with big corporations, including big oil and gas. We can’t keep voting for the same two parties and expecting a different result. Vote for the Greens—the party that fights for you, your community, and our shared future.
In 2022 I received the highest number of votes for a woman candidate ever to run for the seat of Banks. Make history this time to elect the first woman MP for Banks!
Together, we can create a government that works for everyone, not just the wealthy few.
