You can learn about how to effectively use Traffic Light Voting Guides for the upcoming Federal election by following this link to our video and familiarising yourself with its instructions:
Here’s how you can make climate a compelling issue locally.
Hand out Traffic Light A5 How to Vote cards at polling booths. Phone or text 0427 580 803 to arrange for print ready artwork tailored for your electorate. You can then print the How to Vote card using your home printer or for larger numbers use the services of a commercial printer.
This is particularly effective to help add extra reach to Green Light independent campaigns and draw in swinging voters. Vote Climate One’s assessment of candidates has the elevated status of being fiercely independent.

Green Light Candidates
Palaniappan Subramanian (Greens)

I am Palani, your Greens candidate for Greenway. For over a decade, I’ve called Western Sydney home, living and working among our vibrant, close-knit diverse communities. A technical architect with two decades of IT experience, I also have a deep commitment to grassroots organising and community volunteering. With my two daughters births and education, my spouse’s work and my own voluntary teaching, I’ve had plenty of firsthand experience of our public systems. I don’t just theorise, I understand.
What is crushing the majority people?
It is clear that Western Sydney people are currently grappling with harsh realities – Planning driven by developer lobbying means lagging infrastructure; price-gouging driven by corporate greed means inflation; tax-skipping by corporate billionaires means public funding cuts and many more like these, further widen inequality and suffering, fiddled on by a broken political system. This manifests to an unbearable burden: skyrocketing housing costs, crushing living expenses, extortionate premiums and fees, and the decay of essential public services. So, the Australian dream of a secure and prosperous life is slipping away for many families and small businesses alike.
Why do the majority suffer under majority governments?
Australia’s lucrative fossil fuel exports stand in stark contrast to the suffering of its people, as government priorities are dictated by the highest corporate bidders. Despite claiming $60+ million in public funding for the 2022 election, both major parties were bribed $290 million in declared corporate donations this decade. This is compounded by vast, undeclared bribes like lavish meetings and ex-MP corporate appointments. Consequently, unlike other exporting nations that thrive without high taxes, Australians are made to suffer.
How would the Robin Hood reforms of the Greens change things for you?
As only the Greens voluntarily forgo corporate donations to avoid any conflicts of interest, Greens MPs can be truly independent voices for their constituents. For example, instead of squandering $358 billion on risky AUKUS submarines, we’ll invest in proven, cost-effective defence alternatives. We’ll tackle inflation’s root cause like price-gouging and force tax-dodging corporations to pay their fair share. This revenue will deliver tangible benefits for everyone: Affordable housing, expanded GP & Medicare covering dental and mental health, fully funded education from childcare through university and TAFE, dependable 50¢ public transport as in Queensland, a transition to clean energy with electrification subsidies and community-owned batteries in every suburb and much more.
Ten simple reasons to #VOTE1FORGREENS for me in Greenway & Mehreen in The Senate
- Stop Corporate Greed Driven Inflation
- Labor Bad But Liberals Terrible
- Fully Fund Education Health Transport
- Ban Doles To Billionaires
- Urgent Climate Action Reduces Disasters
- Make Housing Affordable Again
- Community Not Corporate Lobby Bribes
- End Supporting Genocides Wars
- Terminate Australian Slavery To US
- Assist All Vulnerable
Last but not least, as the two major parties place diverse candidates only in risky seats, the diversity that we see in the community is missing in the parliament. By voting for me, you can bring about a more representative parliament.
TRAFFIC LIGHT VOTING GUIDE ASSESSMENT WARNING
The team at Vote Climate One may change our Traffic Light voting advice right up to shortly before election day. For instance it is very difficult to access ranking information from parties or candidates who have no public email, phone number or little internet profile. In these cases, we apply the precautionary principle with a Red Light ranking until further information and commitment to climate rescue comes to hand.
Please contact us if you have local information which could effect our rankings. Phone Rob 0n 0427 580 803
The major parties have let the Australian public down when it comes a serious policy commitment to action on the ecological and climate crisis. Consequently, we have assessed both the Labor party and the Coalition as Red Light parties. Nevertheless, in relation to our Traffic Light Voting guides, the Labor party has been ranked orange ahead of the Coalition which remains a stubborn Red Light proposition.
The House of Representitives
Labor is ranked Orange for the House of Reps. The opportunity for a Green Transition, sparked by the influence of a progressive cross bench holding the balance of power in a Labor minority government, is our bet bet for climate rescue.
The Senate
Likewise our senate Traffic Light Voting Guides also promote Labor ahead of the Coalition using an Orange Light status. This stategy will help discourage the worst senario for climate action which would result from a combative Coalition/right wing party majority in the senate.
