Keys Manley (LCP)
Keys qualifies as an Outstanding Green Light Candidate
Keys Manley, a passionate advocate for cannabis legalisation and former candidate for Myall Lakes, he is committed to revitalising regional communities—starting with the farming sector. He sees the cannabis industry as a game-changer offering real opportunities for economic growth, job creation and sustainable agriculture.
Keys believes that legalising cannabis can reduce the influence of criminal networks while unlocking benefits across multiple sectors, from hemp-based construction and biofuels to essential medical treatments.
He challenges the status quo on drug policy, particularly the high taxes on alcohol and tobacco, arguing they push people toward more dangerous, unregulated substances. Keys stands for smart, compassionate policy that prioritises health, safety and personal freedom.
Above all, his election promise is simple—he will represent his community honestly and effectively.

You might know me from the bakery, the cafe, Council, or maybe back from my radio days.
I’ve been getting stuck into community projects since the 90s, always looking for practical ways to make things better – whether that’s running local events, managing the Manning Entertainment Centre, or serving on Council.
I’m married to a local teacher, we’ve raised three kids here, and there’s nowhere else we’d rather be.
I’m not your typical politician – I’m just someone who loves this place and knows how to get things done. Whether it was helping build community facilities, running major events, or solving problems on Council, I’ve always focused on bringing people together and finding practical solutions. That’s exactly what I’ll do as your Independent voice in Canberra – less talk, more action.
Why I’m Running
Let’s be straight up – while our neighbours all around us surge ahead, we’re not getting our fair share. The major parties have taken us for granted for too long – we’re treated like an afterthought unless there’s an election on. We can do so much better.
From Wauchope to Tea Gardens, and up through Gloucester and Dungog in the hinterland, we’ve got one of the best parts of NSW right here. There’s the beaches and the bush, great farming country and close-knit communities. We’ve got all the ingredients to do well, we just need to make sure we don’t get left behind.
After nearly 30 years of bringing people together to get things done locally, I know exactly what we need to do – roll up our sleeves and make things happen. That’s exactly what I’ll do as your Independent voice in Parliament. No fancy promises, just practical action and real results for our community.

Lyne has been overlooked by the major parties for far too long while our community continues to face rising living costs, a healthcare system that’s out of reach physically and financially, and the escalating impacts of climate change—more frequent fires, floods, and extreme weather. It’s time for change.

Our Priorities for You
Priority One: Lower the Cost of Living and Tackle Inequalities
We want to tax big corporations and billionaires so that everyone can live a better and more affordable life. We would freeze rents, wipe student debts, strengthen workers rights and provide free childcare and education. This way no one is left behind.
“Australians are hard hit by housing costs, whether mortgage or rent,” said Mr. Ferrier. “First home buyers are locked out of the housing market by a system that favours investors. The Greens will cap rents and phase out negative gearing and capital gains concessions. The Greens pressure has recently secured an additional $3 billion in funding for public and community housing.” – Tom Ferrier
Priority Two: Fix Healthcare to be Accessible, Affordable, and Inclusive
Lyne has some of the highest rates of chronic pain (Deloitte, 2018) and stroke (Stroke Foundation, 2023) in the country, while essential services like dental, mental health, reproductive care and even GPs remain out of reach for many. We want to invest in local care, protect the NDIS and expand Medicare to ensure healthcare for all.
“Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. From aged care to dental and mental health, every Australian deserves quality care. The Greens will restore free GP visits, include dental care in Medicare, and ensure older Australians receive affordable, high-quality aged care—whether at home or in residential facilities. We believe healthcare should always be provided on a not-for-profit basis.” – Tom Ferrier
Priority Three: Protect our Environment and Prepare for Climate Impacts
With 10,000 private properties in Lyne predicted to be uninsurable by 2030 (Climate Council 2022), an urgent response is needed. We would fund disaster readiness, take climate action through greater renewal energy investment, and strengthen environmental protections. This will safeguard our future.
“We must properly resource our emergency services to handle fires and floods, and strengthen environmental laws…Study after study has shown the cheapest and most efficient energy comes from renewables, especially solar and wind. It makes sense to increase subsidies for renewables like rooftop solar to bring household power bills down – paid for by ending subsidies for fossil fuel corporations and billionaires.” – Tom Ferrier
