You can learn about how to effectively use Traffic Light Voting Guides for the upcoming Federal election by following this link to our video and familiarising yourself with its instructions:

Here’s how you can make climate a compelling issue locally.

Hand out Traffic Light A5 How to Vote cards at polling booths. Phone or text 0427 580 803 to arrange for print ready artwork tailored for your electorate.

This is particularly effective to help add extra reach to Green Light independent campaigns and draw in swinging voters. Vote Climate One’s assessment of candidates has the elevated status of being fiercely independent.

Climate Policy

Deliver the 5-step plan to Net Zero for Australia

  • Provide a climate change framework to get to Net Zero By passing the Climate Change Bills which include strong legislated targets, emissions budgets, sector specific planning and broad consultation.
  • Transform Energy. By committing to an orderly transition to 80% renewable energy by 2030, with no new coal or gas developments and increased energy efficiency in the building sector.
  • Clean-up Transport. By supporting a minimum 76% target of new vehicle sales to be electric by 2030 with tax incentives, investment in charging networks and improving emissions and fuel standards.
  • Modernise Industry. By incentivising the production of green steel, green aluminium and green hydrogen for industry and establishing a transition fund to support communities.
  • Regenerate Australia and Future-proof Agriculture. By rolling out tree planting and soil carbon sequestration and investment in low carbon agricultural practices and innovative technologies.

Bonnie Harvey (Greens)

Our residents are concerned about the state of the climate and the inefficacy of our current political leaders. Like me, many of our community have done their research, attended climate protests, and signed petition after petition demanding action.

But unfortunately, it is falling on deaf ears.

Time is not a luxury that our country can afford to waste tinkering around the edges. We need a Government that recognises that we are facing multiple crises, which cannot be dealt with separately. We are experiencing a systematic collapse due to corporate greed, which looks like:

·       Climate change

·       Wealth inequality

·       Global unrest

·       And politicisation of human rights

Warringah deserves a Government that prioritises the environment and that recognises that people over profits is not only possible but necessary.

That is why I am running for this election. To offer the people of Warringah a candidate who is committed to proactively treating the disease, rather than toying with isolated symptoms. My name is Bonnie Harvey, and I am your Greens Candidate for Warringah.

I am a 23-year-old Northern Beaches councillor, artist, student, and small business owner.

As the youngest woman to ever be elected to the Northern Beaches Council, I know what it means to represent my local community; from advocating for the arts, and supporting local environment groups to re-invigorating apathetic residents’ hope in politics. I understand what it means to be a true advocate for my electorate: to acknowledge uncomfortable truths, push for meaningful change, and bring people together.

I am extremely privileged to call Warringah my home. I am happiest swimming at Cabbage Tree Bay, walking dogs at Monikas Doggy Rescue and drinking coffee after an Emu Parade Cleanup. As someone passionate about the environment, the fact that Warringah has been such a climate-forward electorate has filled my heart with hope. However, housing affordability and the cost of living mean that many of our residents, especially the young and very old, are being left behind.

Changing that reality is not only possible but necessary.

Our climate can be clean, our fridges full and our minds at rest – knowing that no one will fall through the cracks. The Greens are the only party brave enough to make this happen by forcing billionaires and large corporations to pay their fair share.

Will you join me?

The team at Vote Climate One may change our Traffic Light voting advice right up to shortly before election day. For instance it is very difficult to access ranking information from parties or candidates who have no public email, phone number or little internet profile. In these cases, we apply the precautionary principle with a Red Light ranking until further information and commitment to climate rescue comes to hand.

Please contact us if you have local information which could effect our rankings. Phone Rob 0n 0427 580 803

The House of Representitives

Labor is ranked Orange for the House of Reps. The opportunity for a Green Transition, sparked by the influence of a progressive cross bench holding the balance of power in a Labor minority government, is our bet bet for climate rescue.

The Senate

Likewise our senate Traffic Light Voting Guides also promote Labor ahead of the Coalition using an Orange Light status. This stategy will help discourage the worst senario for climate action which would result from a combative Coalition/right wing party majority in the senate.
