LCP endorses the 3R’s and supports the Climate Rescue Accord
Angela Lowery (AJP)

Angela qualifies as an Outstanding Green Light Candidate
Angela Lowery is proud to be running as your candidate for Blair in the upcoming Federal Election.
Angela is a lifelong resident of Bundamba and is a strong advocate for animals, nature, and people. She has extensive knowledge, compassion, and skill which are evidenced by her dedication to her work and studies in a diverse range of areas.
Angela holds a Diploma of Enrolled Nursing and has studied Public Relations and Politics and Policy Studies at Deakin University. She is now focusing on furthering her healthcare skill set by completing a Certificate Three in Individual Care. She has worked in retail and sales.
Some of Angela’s main concerns are health, supporting Aussie farmers, and reducing cost of living.
Approximately 96% of Australians are not meeting the recommended intake of fruits and vegetables. Dietary risk factors like this are the third leading contributor to overall disease burden. To combat this, Angela will fight for the allocation of $50 million per year to fund programs which encourage Australians to eat more Aussie grown produce. A 10% increase in fruit and vegetable consumption would save Australians $100 million a year.
Living in an electorate that covers Somerset, a region primed for evolution of its existing agriculture industry, policies that will help Aussie farmers hit close to home.
“Allocating $180 million per year to farming innovation and technology would provide Aussie farmers and regional communities with the support and appreciation they deserve.
Fixing the Food System will increase the health of Australians, reduce avoidable government spending, and lower cost of living.”
Family violence and survivor support is also something Angela is acutely aware of. She believes The Animal Justice Party’s Funding to Prevent Family Violence and Assist Victims platform is vital to the future of all Australians.
“Having lived in abusive domestic situations I know how hard it can be to escape. We need to fully fund the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children as well as make an initial allocation of $1 billion for animal friendly emergency accommodation. In 2024, 101 Australian women and 16 children were taken from us by domestic violence. Over half of family violence involves ‘partner pet abuse’. Policies that will enable people to protect their animal companions would save countless lives.”
Angela brings her drive, life experience, and empathy to everything she does.
“If elected I will use my position to fight tirelessly to create a better world. I will advocate for and support political actions which will lead to a safe, healthy, and happy future for non-human animals, people, and the planet we all share.”
AJP Supports the 3Rs and endorses the Climate Rescue Accord
Paul Toner (Greens)

This election will focus on the cost of living but we cannot ignore that we need to act now to save the environment we live in. We need to create a society that cares for everyone and to have an economy that allows us all to thrive and not just struggle to survive.
The Greens have real, well-planned policies, not just slogans and distractions, to address the challenges of climate change, cost of living, access to affordable housing, health, education and more
Unlike the major parties, the Greens don’t take donations from big corporations, so I will represent you, not vested interests.
We will tax big corporations fairly and use that money to build hundreds of thousands of good quality homes through a public property developer. We’ll regulate mortgages to ensure that banks don’t grow profits while Australian home owners struggle to pay their mortgages and we also freeze rents and cap increases for those renting.
We will fully fund Medicare, including dental and mental health. Public schools will be fully funded and we will help parents with the extra cost of education. Australians should not not have to face a choice between health, education, housing or food.
The Greens will make groceries cheaper by breaking up the duopoly power of Coles and Woolies and stopping corporate price gouging for essentials. We’ll take back control of our economy by bringing key infrastructure and services into public ownership.
A protected and sustainable environment would enable rural areas of Blair to be both a food bowl and a tourist destination for Queensland and beyond. A fairer and caring society would make our region a safe and thriving place for young people to grow and mature while also meeting the needs of our older community members.
Together, we can make it happen. Will you join me?
TRAFFIC LIGHT VOTING GUIDE ASSESSMENT WARNING
The team at Vote Climate One may change our Traffic Light voting advice right up to shortly before election day. For instance it is very difficult to access ranking information from parties or candidates who have no public email, phone number or little internet profile. In these cases, we apply the precautionary principle with a Red Light ranking until further information and commitment to climate rescue comes to hand.
Please contact us if you have local information which could effect our rankings. Phone Rob 0n 0427 580 803
The major parties have let the Australian public down when it comes a serious policy commitment to action on the ecological and climate crisis. Consequently, we have assessed both the Labor party and the Coalition as Red Light parties. Nevertheless, in relation to our Traffic Light Voting guides, the Labor party has been ranked orange ahead of the Coalition which remains a stubborn Red Light proposition.
The House of Representitives
Labor is ranked Orange for the House of Reps. The opportunity for a Green Transition, sparked by the influence of a progressive cross bench holding the balance of power in a Labor minority government, is our bet bet for climate rescue.
The Senate
Likewise our senate Traffic Light Voting Guides also promote Labor ahead of the Coalition using an Orange Light status. This stategy will help discourage the worst senario for climate action which would result from a combative Coalition/right wing party majority in the senate.
