You can learn about how to effectively use Traffic Light Voting Guides for the upcoming Federal election by following this link to our video and familiarising yourself with its instructions:

Here’s how you can make climate a compelling issue locally.

Hand out Traffic Light A5 How to Vote cards at polling booths. Phone or text 0427 580 803 to arrange for print ready artwork tailored for your electorate. You can then print the How to Vote card using your home printer or for larger numbers use the services of a commercial printer.

This is particularly effective to help add extra reach to Green Light independent campaigns and draw in swinging voters. Vote Climate One’s assessment of candidates has the elevated status of being fiercely independent.

Climate Change

We need strong, practical steps to tackle climate change and ensure a safe future for our community and the next generation. I’m committed to pushing for investments in renewable energy that benefit everyday people, not just large corporations, as well as projects that will lower emissions, provide energy security during natural disasters, reduce power costs, create lasting jobs in our community and help Australia become a world leader in a cleaner energy future which also gives us credibility and power when arguing for greater commitment from other countries on the world stage.

Climate impacts are driving up living costs, while some politicians focus on unrealistic solutions. I will push to eliminate fossil fuel subsidies and advocate for renewable energy, community solar, and battery storage, creating jobs and lowering emissions. Now is the time for action.

Renay Wells (Greens)

I’m a sustainability leader, and as a business consultant, I am dedicated to building a fairer and more sustainable future. I’ve spent my career working in ethical business, using my MBA and Master of Environment to advance climate action, and social justice — helping industries transition to responsible and sustainable practices.

Living in Golden Beach, I see first hand the challenges our community faces. Rents are skyrocketing, forcing families into housing stress. Supermarkets and big corporations continue to price-gouge, making everyday essentials unaffordable. Healthcare is out of reach for too many, while public transport remains expensive and inadequate. Meanwhile, our environment—one of the most beautiful and ecologically diverse in the country—is under constant threat from corporate interests and weak environmental protections.

These problems aren’t accidental; they are the direct result of government policies that prioritise corporate profits over people’s well-being. We need a government that works for us, not just for big business

The Greens have a real plan to fix these issues. We will freeze and cap rents, ban supermarket price gouging, make it free to see a GP and include dental and mental healthcare under Medicare. We will also make public transport free and overhaul environmental laws to protect our ecosystems and wildlife from destruction.

I’m standing for Fisher because I believe in a future where everyone can afford a home, access essential services, and live in a thriving, protected environment. Together, we can build a fairer, greener future — one that puts people and the planet first.

Join my campaign and help make real change happen.

The team at Vote Climate One may change our Traffic Light voting advice right up to shortly before election day. For instance it is very difficult to access ranking information from parties or candidates who have no public email, phone number or little internet profile. In these cases, we apply the precautionary principle with a Red Light ranking until further information and commitment to climate rescue comes to hand.

Please contact us if you have local information which could effect our rankings. Phone Rob 0n 0427 580 803

The House of Representatives

Labor is ranked Orange for the House of Reps. The opportunity for a Green Transition, sparked by the influence of a progressive cross bench holding the balance of power in a Labor minority government, is our bet bet for climate rescue.

The Senate

Likewise our senate Traffic Light Voting Guides also promote Labor ahead of the Coalition using an Orange Light status. This strategy will help discourage the worst scenario for climate action which would result from a combative Coalition/right wing party majority in the senate.
