Cath Davies (Independent)

Cath is part of the Community Independents Project
I’ve lived in Chisholm for over 20 years, my family has grown up here and I’ve always been committed to ensuring our community thrives in a sustainable and fair way. With a background in science and engineering, I work to help industries become more efficient and environmentally responsible.
I believe in integrity, fairness, and taking meaningful action. Rising living costs, affordable housing, and urgent climate action are all issues I’m passionate about addressing. We need leadership that puts people first, and I’m focused on creating a future where communities are supported, housing is affordable, and practical climate solutions are put in place.

True Independence,
True Representation
I believe in the power of true independence.
As your candidate, I am committed to representing the community of Chisholm in a way that transcends party lines. The two-party system often prioritises maintaining power over addressing the real challenges we face as a community. I see a better path forward—one where decisions are made by someone who answers only to you, not to a political party.
That’s why I’m running as an independent. I’ll stand up for the values and concerns of Chisholm, free from the influence of party politics. As an independent representative, I’ll have the freedom to make decisions based on what’s best for our community, not out of loyalty to a political party. With your support, we can ensure that our voices are heard in parliament by someone who is accountable only to us.
Tim Randall (Greens)

I’m an architect specialising in accessible design for people with disabilities, and I’ve lived in Chisholm for nearly a decade. I’m passionate about creating a fairer, kinder world by tackling the housing crisis, supporting and celebrating our multicultural communities and driving strong climate action.
My professional experience in social housing and disability design gives me a unique perspective on the intersection of equity, climate, and housing affordability—issues that directly impact Chisholm’s diverse community. I’ve campaigned for the Voice to Parliament, and believe that Truth, Treaty and Justice is how this country will heal and move forward together.
As a member of Ashburton Baptist Church, I’m proud of our efforts to support local communities and those seeking refuge. I’m also an avid cyclist, helping protect our planet and keep fit while I commute! I love live music, and recognise the importance of supporting the creative arts.
Together, we can push for progressive policies that address cost-of-living pressures, empower future generations, and create a more inclusive and sustainable future for Chisholm and beyond. If you want real change, Vote 1 Greens.
TRAFFIC LIGHT VOTING GUIDE ASSESSMENT WARNING
The team at Vote Climate One may change our Traffic Light voting advice right up to shortly before election day. For instance it is very difficult to access ranking information from parties or candidates who have no public email, phone number or little internet profile. In these cases, we apply the precautionary principle with a Red Light ranking until further information and commitment to climate rescue comes to hand.
Please contact us if you have local information which could effect our rankings. Phone Rob 0n 0427 580 803
The major parties have let the Australian public down when it comes a serious policy commitment to action on the ecological and climate crisis. Consequently, we have assessed both the Labor party and the Coalition as Red Light parties. Nevertheless, in relation to our Traffic Light Voting guides, the Labor party has been ranked orange ahead of the Coalition which remains a stubborn Red Light proposition.
The House of Representitives
Labor is ranked Orange for the House of Reps. The opportunity for a Green Transition, sparked by the influence of a progressive cross bench holding the balance of power in a Labor minority government, is our bet bet for climate rescue.
The Senate
Likewise our senate Traffic Light Voting Guides also promote Labor ahead of the Coalition using an Orange Light status. This stategy will help discourage the worst senario for climate action which would result from a combative Coalition/right wing party majority in the senate.
