Deb Leonard (Independent)

Closer to the election, I will consider and share all feedback received by people in the Monash community to determine my election policies.
In the meantime, I promise you this:
- I will show up and listen
- I will be a leader
- I will act with integrity, transparency and common sense
- I will answer all constituent enquiries to the best of my ability
- I will make sure constituents are able to give me their feedback, and they are aware of the channels to do this
- I will hold regular in person and online meetings and events with local residents to talk with them about issues that are important to them.
- I will not let politics, vested interest or personal agenda guide my behaviour as your representative.
- I have your back.
This is your chance to elect someone who makes decisions in collaboration with you, the community, rather than being dictated to by party bosses or influenced by large corporate donors. Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter for updates on policy announcements.

Terence Steele (Greens)

I’m a semi-retired teacher from Kardella South who is ready to inspire change within our local community.
I’ve owned a small patch of land with my wife Linda for over 20 years and have family ties to the engineering and railway industries of South Gippsland.
The beautiful region that we call home is under threat from climate inaction by our major political parties. I became aware of the devastating effects as an avid gardener and recognise that to affect real change, I needed to get involved.
In a wealthy country like ours, we should have world-class public health, education, and affordable housing. I joined the movement for a fairer future so my children and grandchildren can live in a better world.
I’m ready to step up for Monash and fight for what matters. If you want change, vote 1 for Greens.
