Matt Count (Greens)

I’m an electrician who’s lived in Warwick for the past 17 years. I love this part of Perth, but I’ve seen it go through a lot of changes over the years – and not always for the better.
Despite working just as hard, I have found it increasingly difficult to afford the life my parents had. And I’m not alone. So many in the Cowan community are struggling to earn enough to afford to live, particularly in what is becoming an increasingly casualised workforce.
The major parties aren’t addressing the real crises affecting our community. Instead, they’re tinkering around the edges, beholden to their corporate donors.
This election we have a real opportunity to get more Greens into parliament to push the government further and faster on issues that matter to us; like urgent action on the cost of living, housing and climate crises.
A better future for WA is possible – but we have to make it happen together.
