It’s super easy then to transfer your choices onto the ballot paper.  Alternatively, take your phone with you when you head off to vote, and you can then access our advice on the screen.

Andy’s experience from working across the Justice Department, education and farms has strengthened his commitment  to ensuring fairness and equity for all non-human and human animals.

Andy’s strong work ethic drives him to take action to affect Legislative change for the protection of animals, nature and humans. He is intent on ending animal experimentation, increasing the percentage of protected land to 30% and to actively support his community by carving out a peaceful and livable world for all.

Linh Nguyen (Greens)

I’m a proud Vietnamese-Australian community worker. I started my journey as a migrant to Australia, finding my place in our vibrant community in Inala, one of Queensland’s most diverse communities. I’m raising my two kids (and two dogs!) here, and on the weekends you’ll find me at the Western Spirit Football Club, where I mentor teens and referee.

Through my decades of work in our region, I’ve connected with residents from all walks of life – the young and the elderly, from a variety of backgrounds and in various languages. 

Through my involvement in our multicultural community, I know that our needs are ever-evolving. I believe in collaborating with my community on what matters to us and making sure our voices are not just heard, but truly acknowledged. We deserve to be represented by someone who understands our challenges.

I know that many people in our community are struggling to afford the basics, with rising rents and grocery prices forcing families to make tough choices. I’ve heard you say that transport and health services are not meeting your needs. 

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Unlike the major parties, the Greens don’t take donations from big corporations, so I will represent you, not vested interests. The Greens will tax big corporations fairly and use that money to build 100,000 homes, make our schools and healthcare genuinely free, stop price gouging and lower power bills by transitioning to 100% publicly owned renewable energy. We will increase public transport across our state and make it free. We’ll also freeze rents and cap increases. 

The Greens will make groceries cheaper by breaking up the duopoly power of Coles and Woolies and stopping corporate price gouging for essentials. We’ll take back control of our economy by bringing key infrastructure and services into public ownership.

The Greens also have a plan to guarantee every Queenslander under the age of 18 one free sporting program or season of club sport every year – saving families thousands. I’ve been mentoring young individuals as part of the Pushing Barrier program, so I know how much of a difference to a child’s life that being involved in  sports can make.

All young people should have access to good quality education and quality sports facilities so they can reach their full potential. Kids from low income households are almost twice as likely to miss out on outside-school sport than their wealthier peers. This inequity is unacceptable in a wealthy country like Australia and together, we can change this for the better.
