Green Light Candidates
Frank Jordan (LCQ)
Frank is an Outstanding Green Light Candidate
FRANK JORDAN’s father arrived in Australia as a refugee from communism and his mother is from Hamburg (Germany), a survivor of Operation Gomorrah, an allied war crime where 20,000 civilians were incinerated.
His personal values are derived from humanism and are consistent with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We have a right to a job, a home, good health and social security. We should not be subject to discrimination and our environment should be protected.
Frank has been active in a wide range of community groups all his adult life and knows how important community is and that it needs to be actively nurtured. He was treasurer of the Lifelong Learning Council Queensland for several years, secretary of the Humanist Society of Queensland, president of the Butterfly and Other Invertebrates Club, co-ordinator of a community garden and leader of a bushcare group.
He is best known as the Butterfly Man and co-authored a book, “Create More Butterflies”, about 48 local butterflies. He also tried to save the critically endangered Laced Fritillary butterfly which was last recorded in Queensland near Caboolture.
Cannabis is being legalised all over the world because it is less harmful than aspirin, less habit-forming than coffee and has exceptional value as a medicine. Frank is standing as a candidate to give you a choice, to end cruel and heartless cannabis laws, or continue to submit to politicians who ignore the wishes of the majority.
Frank is not a billionaire, just an ordinary person with a lot of life experience and a big dollop of common sense. Frank would like you to join him in taking a stand against the creeping cruelty that is eroding the Australian tradition of a Fair Go.

Mark Jessup (Greens)
Hailing from Townsville in North Queensland, I set out to find “home” in 2016 after my beloved Cowboys won their maiden premiership and couldn’t find a spot with more potential than the Caboolture region. In 2023, I was lucky enough to marry my wife Tiffany, who is a fierce advocate for the environment, a trait she has now passed to me.
Throughout my 15+ year work career, I have gravitated towards leadership roles, which I earned through hard work, understanding the value of relationships and genuinely caring about the future. I have always been sceptical of politics and held the belief that politicians operated in their own interests, so I thought it was time to make a change and give people the option to vote for someone who will work for them.
The political system in Australia is broken. Democracy lays in ruins as coal and gas corporations and the media dominate, while the old parties listen to their donors instead of everyday Queenslanders.
The old parties prefer to line the pockets of billionaires who pillage our natural resources then sell them back to you at a premium, and allow companies like Woolworths and Coles accumulate billions of dollars in profits by price gouging. They pretend that there is no solution, while taking massive donations from the main perpetrators of the problem.
You and I both know that the future needs to be about serving everyday people, and not just those with deep pockets.
That’s why we will take on big corporations to make them pay their fair share so we can deliver our plans for public and affordable housing, and services that you need like free childcare and properly funded schools and hospitals. We will bring key infrastructure back into public ownership including 100% renewable energy, and protect the natural beauty that makes our state the best place on earth.
With your vote, the Greens will break up the supermarket duopoly to deliver price reductions at the grocery checkout and provide cost of living relief by freezing rents and capping rent increases.
As your member for Morayfield, I will stand up to the old parties, and commit to working for the local community while refusing to take corporate donations.
When you vote Green, you join a nationwide movement of people just like you.
If you have questions, please reach out to me via email and let’s chat about how we can work together to make this happen.
