2025 West Australian State Election March 8th
The team at Vote Climate One have started work on the West Australian state election. Initially we will only publish the electorates which have a Green Light candidate standing. While we are working on the construction of each electorate page, the links in the table below will default to a Tally Room electorate summary.
- Over the next few weeks we will add a mock up of a Traffic Light Voting guide for both the House of Assembly and the Legislative Council.
- After the ballot draw on Feburary 13th 2025 we will upload our Traffic Light Voting Guides in time for the start of pre-pollling on Monday Feburary 24th.
- We will also publish an instructional video so you clearly see how to apply this voting system to casting your ballot in the current state election.
- For this election we have ranked both the Labor and Liberal parties with a red light.
The political landscape in the House of Assembly seats across the state is dominated by the Labor party with little chance for progressive parties or independents. For this reason, voters concerned about the ecological and climate crisis, your most politically effective vote is for the 37 member Legislative Council.Whatever ballot paper you are filling in, our best advice is to always preference Green Light parties and candidates first ahead of both the majors and the Nationals.
