“I will fight for a future for Blair where the economy serves the community and our environment is healthy and safe.”

Hi, my name is Danielle.

I’m a strong community advocate and want to amplify your voice in parliament. I’m a union organiser who loves living, working, and being involved locally in Blair.

I believe in a fair go. Blair deserves a representative who will advocate fiercely for the community’s best interest, and this is something that comes naturally to me. I want our diverse community to be healthy and ensure that we don’t miss out on all the support and services we need to thrive. I will fight for a future for Blair where the economy serves the community and our environment is healthy and safe. I will be a strong voice against plans to build non-compliant Super Dumps and Waste to Energy Incinerators in our surrounding areas.

Cost of living is biting, and unemployment is on the rise. Many people in our community are hurting and need a helping hand. Local job creation is essential, and it needs to be free from fear around issues of insecure work, unemployment and wage theft. We can’t allow a situation where we have community members living below the poverty line.

Right now, politics is dominated by Labor and the LNP. They take millions of dollars in political donations from their corporate mates. By stopping mining companies, the waste industry and big banks from donating money to political parties, we can have a parliament free of vested interests. We can reclaim our democracy.

By making the big end of town pay their fair share in corporate taxes and royalties, we can make sure that we have adequate community services. Let’s fund our public schools, so they don’t cost families so much money. Now is the time to bring energy, water and healthcare back into public ownership. To give every Aussie free uni/TAFE, to include dental and mental health into Medicare and to make housing affordable for all.

We can future-proof our diverse community and build a sustainable future that we can all enjoy. By transitioning to 100% renewable energy by 2030, we can create jobs, cut bills and turn around the climate emergency we all face.

This election, we have the opportunity to tip the balance of power in favour of ordinary people. By voting for me as your Greens representative for Blair and for the Greens in the Senate, you are helping to build a movement for change which has your best interests at heart, instead of representing corporate political donors.

You may have noticed that I use the word “we” a lot. That’s because together, we can achieve great things. I want to hear about your vision for the future of Blair and our local community.
