“We are in a global race against time on climate change.”

Hi, I’m Sally.

I’m running because I’m passionate about protecting our precious places and improving everyone’s quality of life.

I grew up here on the Gold Coast Hinterland and deeply love our magnificent area, with its unique climate and rich biodiversity. I have campaigned to preserve Australia’s vanishing natural heritage and to protect animal rights. I will work to ensure the koala, our Queensland emblem, survives.

It’s time to build our economy on long-term sustainability and science principles – not short-term self-interest and political point-scoring. That way, we can protect our regional ecosystems and still have a prosperous economy.

We are in a global race against time on climate change. Under a Greens shared power parliament, Australia will strive to generate 700% of existing electricity demand with renewables.  With a massive green energy surplus, we can electrify the rest of our economy, grow local energy-intensive manufacturing sectors like green steel and aluminium.

Our public schools, universities, and TAFE need additional funding not to cost families so much. In a rapidly changing world, public education should always be universal, free and never privatised. Everyone should be able to afford to retrain and have a better life.

I want to live in an Australia where ordinary people can realise their dream of owning their own home through affordable housing. The Greens will build a million affordable, accessible and high-quality homes over ten years. We can end homelessness, slash public and social housing waiting lists and provide all Australians options for affordable, secure, quality homes.

It’s time to make billionaires and mining corporations pay their fair share. We can build enough housing, education, healthcare for all Australians, powered by the cheap, renewable energy we all deserve to help us thrive.

When politics is free from the corrosive influence of donations from lobbyists and mining corporations, the community will finally come first. The Greens don’t accept corporate donations for this very reason.

I will work tirelessly for the people of Fadden to ensure no one is left behind as we face the social and economic challenges following the pandemic.

Will you join our people-powered movement for change?
