Traffic Light Voting Guides will not be available until after the NT ballot draw on Thursday August 8th. Once we have published the guides you can print the Johnson guide from this page,fill it in at home and take it to the polling booth to transfer your choices onto the ballot paper. Alternatively you can access our advice on your mobile phone.

The team at Vote Climate One encourages all candidates to support the 3Rs and the Climate Rescue Accord to underpin any decisions in the Northern Territory parliament relating to action on the climate emergency.

Billie Barton

I’m Billie Barton, your Greens candidate for Johnston.

I’m an artist, designer and engineer. I run my own arts business, as well as working for our amazing cultural festivals and in television production. Before moving to Darwin, I worked in engineering and product design and as a technician in a university.

Like most Territorians, I rent my home and I know that NT rental laws need to be so much better. Only the Greens have a plan to make renting better for all of us, and to provide more affordable and public housing.

I’m proud to run for a party that cares about everyone who lives here, not just the big corporations that can afford to donate to the major parties.

I was attracted to move to Darwin by our amazing footy culture. Equality and inclusion on the field really matters to me – and so does keeping our climate liveable so we can all keep playing.

The Greens are the only party with a plan to tackle climate change, ban fracking and move to cheaper cleaner renewable energy.
